Courtesy of that font of all that is pseudoscience, naturalnews.com, comes a story that has inexplicably been overlooked by mainstream media:

“[T]he greatest  crime in the history of humanity is underway.”

Wow, not even an exclamation point. These guys practice some serious sang-froid.

Just what is this crime that is worse than the Holocaust, the Inquisition, slavery, and the Armenian, Indigenous American, Cambodian, Rwandan, Balkan, and Darfur genocides?

Flu vaccination.

In a (typically) garbled account by editor Barbara Minton, Vienna-based environmental journalist Jane Burgermeister has accused the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations (UN), and officials of the U.S. government of bioterrorism:

“…by use of a genetically engineered flu pandemic virus with the intent of causing death. This group has annexed high government offices in the U.S.”

According to the headline, Burgermeister “filed charges” with the FBI, which Minton later calls “claims and allegations”  in Austria on June 10.^[1] The gist of the claims is that President Obama, along with Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann, high-ranking officials from the UN, WHO, and an odd assortment of government officials, bankers, and others:

“…are part of this international corporate criminal syndicate which has developed, produced, stockpiled and employed biological weapons to eliminate the population of the U.S. and other countries for financial and political gain.”

But why would this amoral alliance of allopathic allies do such a thing?

So they and Big Pharma could force us all to get teh evil vaccinations, of course.

As described by Minton, the “dossier” filed by Burgermeister contains evidence that, among other things, the current swine flu was genetically engineered; that several officials involved in President Obama’s recent trip to Mexico died (it is unclear whether the implication is that they died of accidental swine flu infection, or were deliberately murdered as part of a cover-up;) and that vaccinations caused the 1918 “Spanish flu” epidemic.

Moreover, FEMA is setting up “concentration camps and mass graves” in anticipation of a government-sponsored plot to create a bird flu pandemic and subsequent forced innoculation with deadly contaminated flu vaccine so that:

“The houses, companies and farms and lands of those who are killed will be up for grabs by this syndicate.

“By eliminating the population of North America, the international elite gain access to the region’s natural resources such as water and undeveloped oil lands. And by eliminating the U.S. and its democratic constitution by subsuming it under a North American Union, the international crime group will have total control over North America.”

Seems like a typically convoluted government effort. Couldn’t they just have poisoned the water like efficient European Jews did to cause the black plague epidemic of the 14th century?

What evidence is presented by Minton and this putative dossier?

The natural news article cites only its own previous articles, a Yahoo news story about pharma company Baxter International developing a swine flu vaccine for use in July, and a Times of India account of a lab error by Baxter that resulted in the mixing of an ordinary attenuated strain of human (H3N2) flu with the lethal “bird” flu strain (H5N1).^[2]

The only other link is a blog post from a site entitled “Case About Swine Flu” hosted at WordPress.com. The blogger, going by the pseudonym birdflu666, first posted on April 13, 2009.^[3]

The post is a list of “charges filed” with the Vienna State Prosecutor’s Office on April 8, 2009, partially translated into English from the original German.

They include allegations that Baxter and Avir Green Hills Biotech:

“…unlawfully, wilfully [sic] and knowingly, in the period between December 2008 and February 2009, employed manipulative and deceptive devices and contrivances in violation of national and international laws on the manufacturing, possession, release and dissemination of biological weapons of mass destruction and on organised crime, to manufacture and distribute a biological agent that is classified as a bioweapon among the population.”

These allegations are apparently based on the incident in which Baxter and Avir contaminated “ordinary” flu with “bird” flu virus and shipped the contaminated virus to 16 different labs.

The author claims the labs did this intentionally, then orchestrated a cover-up with the collusion of the Austrian government so that they could eventually unleash pandemic bird flu on an unsuspecting population, then reap the aforementioned evil proceeds from a forced vaccination program, possibly using more contaminated flu vaccine to kill off the folks that would otherwise be spared by the pandemic.

As a bonus, the author uses a statement made during a BBC interview with Nina Federoff (Science and Technology Advisor to the past two U.S. Secretaries of State) in which she voiced an opinion that world was overpopulated, to imply that the U.S. government (among others) plans to deliberately cause a bird flu pandemic in order to reduce the population.

As proof of her allegations, the author cites only press releases, interviews and the transcript of an Austrian parliament hearing(?) on the contamination incident.

The “dossier” is long, rambling, and half in German. Fortunately, a more conspiracy-theorist-friendly version is offered in birdflu666’s next blog post, titled “Legal Action You Can Take Against Forced Vaccination.”

The post consists of a rambling litany of conspiracy theories, beginning with the usual anti-vaccination fear-mongering (the toxins! the mercury! the “live virus!”) and rapidly descending into what I can only hope is satire (all emphases original):

“…there is evidence that these lethal organisms will be put into the vaccinaiton [sic] deliberately just in order to kill and weaponize the swine flu….

“The [Novartis] vaccine was fully licenced and approved. It was designed for “adverse events reaction” – and it produced just that.

“Bear in mind the swine flu, like the bird flu, is a an artificial, genetic virus made in a lab with funding and licences by WHO.

“There is proof that an international corporate crime syndicate that has annexed high government office in the United States and Europe has organised a gigantic covert bioweapons programme behind a screen of false information fed to the general public by the media these people control.

“They have put in place legislation that so curtails your rights to refuse the vaccine that you will have the same rights as prisoners in Nazi concentration camps had to refuse experimental vaccines!

“Accept the injection – or be shot, quarantined, imprisoned. That will be your choice.”

Although the author claims she has evidence for these assertions, she once again fails to provide any. The post contains four links to her own previous posts (some of which appear not to exist), and to a site called nutrimedical.com, that appears to be nothing but a marketing vehicle to sell a wide variety of nutritional supplements.

Good job, NaturalNews.com. Way to take a potentially good story on the hazards of bionengineering and run it straight into the wall.

1. 1. The headline’s terminology is inaccurate and hyperbolic. One cannot “file charges” with the FBI. The FBI accepts reports and tips from anyone about possible crimes, but only investigates those it finds plausible. Criminal charges may be filed by federal, state or district attorneys once investigations of alleged crimes are complete.

In the laboratory incident,  seasonal H3N2 flu virus material that was provided by Baxter to Avir Biotechnology for research (not for vaccine production, or any other use in humans), was contaminated with the lethal H5N1 or “bird” flu strain. Avir sent the samples to a number of foreign labs including one in the Czech Republic, where the error was discovered after ferrets injected with the contaminated strain died unexpectedly. Lab workers who were potentially exposed to the virus were monitored for signs of the virus, but none became ill.

   Baxter contends that the incident was due to “a unique combination of process, technical and human errors,” and that it reported it to Austrian health authorities, who conducted an audit that found Baxter’s preventive and corrective measures “appropriate.” The incident has allegedly been investigated by the health authorities of several countries, and the European Union is conducting its own audit of Baxter’s Austrian facility in which the contamination took place.

3. 3. In a subsequent post summarizing her complaint, the blogger appears to identify herself as Jane Burgermeister, and suggests readers “contribute or help out” by e-mailing her at a gmail account.
